Octomiser is an iPhone app for UK homes on Agile-style smart tariffs, where the price of electricity changes every half hour. It shows the current rate and the rates still to come, finds the cheapest time for the jobs you choose, and keeps live rates on your Home and Lock Screen.
See the day’s prices, half hour by half hour
Check current and upcoming unit rates in colour-coded charts, with daily, weekly and monthly breakdowns. On this site you can try it at the rate station: choose your electricity region and how long you need, and see the cheapest published window. No account connection is needed for the preview.
Find the cheapest window for your routine
Tell Octomiser how long a job takes, such as a two-hour wash or a four-hour car charge, and it finds the window with the lowest average rate. You can also set rate thresholds for notifications.
Understand your usage and costs
See your energy use and costs by day, week and month, look back at past costs and export reports for your records.
Rates at a glance with widgets
Home Screen widgets and Lock Screen widgets show the current and upcoming rates, so you can decide without opening the app.
Which tariffs it works with
Today Octomiser works with Octopus Energy accounts in the UK, including the Agile tariff. The rate preview on this site uses published Agile rates for each region. Some features need an optional Premium subscription.
Privacy
The app keeps your account key on your iPhone and in your private iCloud account. It does not collect personal data. Read the privacy policy.
